50 shades of gold
While the weather may have been frosty, Hollywood A-listers made sure to turn the heat up. They certainly excelled at keeping up with appearances — donning an assortment of gold tones, our eyes sparkled — quite a bit. Exhibiting enamour for the timeless metallic shade, Karlie Kloss, Amal Clooney and Padma Lakshmi were golden, literally.
Mrs George Clooney yet again recorded a tailored success at Charlotte Tilbury’s Christmas party. The 37-year-old human rights lawyer, who rarely puts a fashionable foot wrong, went for a jazzy metallic two-piece, encompassing gold-silver, calf-length culotte-pants and a modish collared cropped shirt, featuring three large buttons embossed down the chest whilst authorising a glance at her taut waist. The foil-detailing and futuristic design afforded the outfit an incredibly high-fashion edge.
The Top Chef host and inspiration to countless, stood out from the crowd and reflected virtuous taste and magnetism at the at the Unicef Snowflake Ball in NYC. She glided into a sleeveless flapper-inspired ensemble showcasing numerous layers of iridescent yellow-gold and pale-gold fringe paired with mesh detailing. Her poker straight, brunette locks fell effortlessly just past her shoulders which she swept to one side to parade her immaculate features. I think we got served well!
Arriving at an awards event at London’s iconic Coliseum, the 23-year-old supermodel scintillated as she swanned into the event in a brassy-bronze-gold dress, featuring a coiling-pattern print that glistened in the light. Electing glamour over comfort, Karlie unveiled her implausible figure as well as her risqué fashion sense in the semi sheer, fringed gown.
