Superstar Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ collected Rs. 12.35 cr. on its opening day and witnessed a jump on day two. The movie earned Rs. 14.60 cr on the second day. The third day collections were even higher as it grossed Rs. 17.35 cr on the final day of the opening weekend. The collections went donw to Rs. 10.40 cr on the fourth day. With this the overall collections of the film have crossed the Rs. 50 cr mark. Airlift tells how the Indian government evacuation of 1,70,000 people of Indian origin and also of other nationalities through 488 flights during the Iraq-Kuwait war.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, ‘Airlift’ saw a good growth over the weekend, taking its cumulative total to Rs. 54.70 crore. On Monday, the Akshay Kumar starrer crossed Rs. 50 cr. mark in just four days of its release showing outstanding business of the strong content at the box office.
