Troubled actress Amanda Bynes has been released from a psychiatric hospital early after her involuntary hold was terminated at a hearing on Thursday.
The Hairspray star has been receiving treatment at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena California since October 10, 2014 when she was placed on a 72 day psychiatric hold following concerns over her behavior. Her stay was extended by 30 days on Monday as medics ruled her unfit for release but photographs obtained show Bynes walking along Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles wearing large sunglasses and chatting on her cell phone.
The images were reportedly shot on Thursday.
The actress requested her release at a hearing earlier that day and despite doctors' assessments officials ruled Bynes was stable enough that she could no longer be held involuntarily and she was immediately released.
Her parents Lynn and Rick were granted a conservatorship over her affairs earlier this week.
