Filming details about Transformers The Last Knight have surfaced on the internet and it looks like director Michael Bay and his band of Autobots and Decepticons have camped in the American state of Arizona.
A Facebook fan page, Transformers Cars, has posted a series of pictures and videos featuring vehicles resembling military vehicles and the latest custom-built 2016 Camaro (Bumblebee’s latest makeover).
Fox10, meanwhile, reported that a freeway in Phoenix has been closed for five days for the filming of the fifth instalment of the popular live action series. According to the website, the 14-mile stretch of Loop 303, also known as the Bob Stump Memorial Parkway, is the prime location for the movie shoot. Apart from this specific area, fans have also spotted Transformers’ vehicles near Lake Roosevelt.
We see a big brigade of maybe 20 or 30 cars all blacked out military vehicles. My friend was thinking it was special ops and then in the middle of it I saw an Autobot, and I knew right then it had to be transformers,” Kayleigh Lauzen, the creator of the Facebook fan page, told Fox10.
Megatron is set to enter the upcoming movie and frequent teasers by the official Transformer Twitter page have only ignited interest among fans about the plot.
Here are brief tweets that hint at an epic battle between the Decepticon leader and Optimus Prime.
1.”Something wicked this way comes”
2. “A battle is coming”
3. “Cybertron’s newest knight already has an armor of gold”
4. “To punish and enslave”
The return of Megatron is the biggest twist as he was killed in the third movie and it is assumed that his resurrection will be a huge plot point in The Dark Knight. In Age Of Extinction, Optimus flew away to outer space to find and seek answers from his Creators. And it appears as if the film will feature an epic battle where either the Autobots or the Decepticons will face defeat and either be “punished” or “enslaved”.
Mark Wahlberg will return to reprise his character Cade Yeager in the movie that is expected to premiere in 2017.
