I am very open to timepass romance: Kangana Ranaut
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is currently on cloud nine, with the mind-blowing collections of her latest film Tanu Weds Manu Returns, will soon be seen in Katti Batti alongside Imran Khan. The trailer of which has now been released, reported India Today.
While rumours have it that the Queen star will be seen in two roles in this film, too, several reports contrary to the same, have been doing the rounds of the media. In Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana played the roles of ‘Tanu’ Trivedi and Kusum ‘Datto’ Sangwan.
With Katti Batti, Kangana has entered the cinematography territory. The National Award-winning actress shot the first seven minutes of the film.
The Queen actress who will be seen in Katti Batti shortly, also said that she believes in what she called ‘timepass’ romance, reported DNA.
The movie’s trailer depicts Kangana’s character as someone who doesn’t believe in love and instead chooses to be in a live-in relationship, she said. Her character even goes on to say that she is open to having a “timepass” affair with Imran, who is paired opposite her in the movie.
“When you date, marriage is not on your mind since first you don’t have an understanding of the equation or the relationship. However, I am very open to timepass romance,” the actress told reporters at the trailer launch of Katti Batti. Kangana said she is also open to the idea of a live-in relationship.
“To each to its own. I think it is about how that person makes you feel. If there is trust and faith, then go ahead and take the relationship to the next level,” she said. The B-Town actress is quite excited about Nikhil Advani’s romantic comedy Katti Batti.
“It is a love story but might not end up like a love story. You can’t judge a genre thorugh narration. It is difficult to say what the film and my character is about,” she said.
“It (Katti Batti) is a love story but both (Imran and I) of us have equally important parts. Imran has more screen time than me, but that doesn’t mean one particular character is weak,” she said. She was all praise for her co-star Imran.
“Imran is a delight to work with. He is always balanced. He never loses his cool. He is very calm. He will be shouting at one moment and the next moment he is giggling,” she said.
Katti Batti is supposed to hit the theatres on September 18 this year.
