Having made a name for themselves across Pakistan and Beyond with their propulsive instrumentals, the group is on a roll in just the right way. The music outfit that merges tradition with the modern and reminds us of the beauty of the city of flowers seems to be having a big year.
Their song, ‘Chaukor’ is featured on the soundtrack of Project Peshawar while the unit that counts Farhan Bogra, Aamer Shafiq, Shiraz khan and Sparlay Rawail as member is also gearing up to perform at the South Bank Center during the prestigious Alchemy festival in London on May 20, courtesy of Funoon London.
Speaking about the UK gig, Sparlay Rawail from the band had said in a press statement “we have always thought of ourselves as a world music band , and are extremely proud and happy to be taking our music internationally again.” More good news for the band is that after playing in London, they will be heading to lreland since they have been invited by the Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council in Partnership with the U.S Embassy in Dublin.
