Accusing Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh of torturing and ultimately killing her, Soma said: “He(Rahul) should not get out. My daughter should get justice and I would like to appeal to the entire nation to help me seeking justice for my daughter. He tortured my daughter a lot and finished her.”
Meanwhile, a case of abetment, assault and intimidation was registered against Rahul after Soma lodged a fresh statement based on which an FIR was registered under sections 306, 323 and 506 of the IPC. When asked what kind of justice she expected, Soma said, “He should be kept alive in jail and made to suffer for his entire lifetime.”
The Mumbai police on Tuesday booked Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh for abetment to suicide of the TV actor. The police filed and FIR against Rahul for abetment to suicide, assault and intimidation on the basis of the complaint given by Pratyusha’s mother.
The 24-year-old former “Balika Vadhu” star was found dead at her home on April 1, in a suspected case of suicide due to stress in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.
