LAHORE: A spokesman for famous singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has denied media reports that he has been issued a notice by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) over concealment of foreign earnings and tax evasion.
Earlier, a team representing the renowned singer visited the offices of the FBR and met with officials to seek clarification over the issuance of the notification. The FBR officials reportedly were also not unaware of the issuance of any such notice to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
While speaking on the occasion, spokesman Salman Ahmed said that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was a law-abiding citizens and submits his income tax forms regularly paying all necessary taxes including foreign earnings. He said that some individuals were spreading unfounded rumours to hurt his good repute and personality.
