Mumbai, Dec. 8 — Of late, there has been a lot of talk about Vikramaditya Motwane’s next, AK Vs SK, which has been stalled because, reportedly, Shahid Kapoor walked out of the film.
Now, we have learnt that Motwane is “working diligently” on another script; that of his ambitious venture, Bhavesh Joshi, which he has tried to make multiple times with various actors.
Initially, Imran Khan was the first choice for the lead role, followed by Sidharth Malhotra. But the project didn’t pan out. The movie was put on the back-burner as it had apparently been scripted when the last government was in power. But, once the current government was elected, the film-maker found his script a bit dated.
Now, however, we have been told that the “script is being reworked”, and is being given a completely new angle, keeping the current situation in mind.
A trade insider says, “The film was always very close to Vikram, and with AK Vs SK not working out, he has now gone back to the older project, more so because of what’s been happening in the country over the past few months.” Motwane couldn’t be reached for a comment.
