BAFTA: 1917 won Best Film Award


Nintendo Seventeen won the BAFTA Award for Best Film and Best Director, honoring the Best Actor in the Joker’s Yakin Phoenix, while Renee Zellweger was named the Best Actress.

The British Academy of Film and Television Vision Arts (BAFTA) Awards took place in London. Leading film and TV stars on the red carpet, Flame Scatter, Prince William and Princess Kate also entered the red carpet.

Nintendo Seventeen, based on the story of World War I, won the BAFTA Award for Best Film by defeating The Irish Man, The Joker, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and Parasite. Nintendo Seventeen’s Director Sam Mendes won the Best Director award. He defeated directors like Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarnow.

Yakin Phoenix won the Best Actor’s BAFTA Award. Competing for them were Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Driver, Tyrone Egerton and Jonathan Price.

Renee Zellweger was awarded the Best Actress for her outstanding role in ‘Judy’. Renee won the Best Actress award, beating Jessie Buckley, Scarlett Johansson, Sears Ronan, and Charlize Theron.
