Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan finally won his first Filmfare Award after a long film career but critics accused him of buying the award
Abhishek received the award for his powerful acting in the 2024 film I Want to Talk where he played the role of a man fighting cancer
After the award announcement journalist Naveen Mandra wrote on social media that the award was given because of connections and money and that no one had even watched the film
Abhishek who is very active on social media quickly replied saying that he did not buy any award He said his success is the result of 25 years of hard work sweat and tears
He also told journalists that they should act responsibly before damaging someone’s name especially those who spread false claims in the name of opinion
The journalist later said that it was only his personal view but Abhishek responded that accusing someone of buying an award is not an opinion it is a baseless claim
In the film I Want to Talk Abhishek played a man who feels lost between his life emotions and relationships He wants to speak and express everything but he has no voice only his eyes speak The movie has few dialogues but strong emotions
His character is not angry but a broken man who fights with patience His performance shows both pain and strength
Abhishek proved that he is not only known for being part of the Bachchan family but also for his own talent and dedication
He gave a confident performance in the film but while receiving the Filmfare Award his legs were shaking and his voice trembled He said that he could not remember how many times he practiced this speech in front of a mirror and today his dream has come true
Abhishek said that having his family in front of him at this special moment means everything to him He thanked his parents Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan saying that they are his greatest support and he is nothing without them
He also thanked his wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya saying that they gave him the courage to dream and the strength to make those dreams come true
Abhishek Bachchan began his career in 1999 with the film Refugee He faced many failures and criticism but never gave up In one interview he revealed that he once decided to quit acting after repeated failures but his father advised him to keep learning with time
