Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi land in big trouble summoned to court

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi have been summoned to court.

According to Indian media, a civil court in Pune has ordered Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and director Subhash Kapoor to appear before the court over alleged contempt of judiciary in their upcoming film Jolly LLB.

This notice was issued after a petition filed by lawyer Wajid Rahim Khan. The court has directed all three to appear in person on October 28 at 11 am.

Lawyer Wajid Rahim Khan said that the case was filed because the film mocks India’s legal system and disrespects court proceedings. He also objected to the negative portrayal of lawyers and raised concern over a scene where judges were referred to as Mama, which is considered an abusive term.

Speaking to ANI, the lawyer said that lawyers deserve respect, and that is why he filed the petition. He added that the way lawyers and judges have been shown in the film is wrong, and that is why the Pune court has summoned Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and the director.

It is worth mentioning that the teaser of Jolly LLB 2, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, was recently released, and the film is scheduled to hit cinemas in September 2025.
