A local court in Rawalpindi has rejected the interim bails of two accused, Mismat Sana and Jaber Khan, in the case of cutting the hair of TikToker Iman Fatima.
According to Express News, the hearing of the case of cutting the hair of TikToker Iman Fatima was held in a local court in Rawalpindi, where after the bail of both the accused was rejected, they fled the courtroom while the police kept looking at their faces in the court premises with handcuffs.
During the hearing, the defense lawyer requested that interim bails be obtained from the High Court for both the accused.
The prosecutor told the court that the accused were not even involved in the investigation. How can they be innocent? The girl’s hair was forcibly cut and she is not coming forward out of fear. Cutting hair does not constitute a minor bailable offence in any case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ikram-ul-Haq Chaudhry rejected the interim bails of the accused, saying that cutting the girl’s hair is a serious incident and interim bail cannot be granted, both the accused are under police custody for investigation.
However, the accused left the courtroom a few minutes before the court’s verdict and did not return.
It should be noted that the Naseerabad police station had registered a case on November 25 after a video of Iman Fatima cutting her hair surfaced.
