South Indian actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who was arrested in a murder case, asked the court to give him poison.
According to Indian media, a hearing of the Renuka Swamy murder case was held in a Bengaluru court in the state of Karnataka. During the hearing, the court rejected Darshan Thoogudeepa’s request to be shifted from Parappana Agrahara Central Jail to Ballari Jail.
After this, the actor appealed to the court to give him poison because his request for jail transfer was denied due to his worsening health condition.
Darshan told the court that he was suffering from a fungal infection and had not seen sunlight for a month. When the court dismissed his request as there was no strong reason for the transfer, the actor became emotional and said that the court should order to give him poison.
The judge expressed anger at this demand and warned Darshan not to repeat such words. The court then directed jail authorities to allow the actor to walk inside the prison and provide him with basic facilities.
It is important to mention that Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is accused of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering 33 year old auto driver Renuka Swamy. The driver was a die-hard fan of Darshan and was accused of sending inappropriate messages to Darshan’s close friend actress Pavithra.
