Actress Sana Javed has raised concerns about a fake Facebook account created under her name. Through her Instagram story, she shared a screenshot of the fake account and expressed surprise over how it was verified by Meta. Sana clarified that the account with more followers was actually a fake one and not her real profile. She requested her fans not to share any posts coming from that fake account.
According to the actress, she not only reported the account to Facebook but also informed the authorities about the issue. She said that legal action would soon be taken against those running the fake account.
The fake profile was verified by paying a monthly fee, and surprisingly, it had more followers than her real account. It was also sharing her personal pictures along with photos and videos of her husband Shoaib Malik.
Reports showed that the fake account had 1.7 million followers, while her official Facebook account had 1.2 million. After her complaint, the fake account was deactivated.
This incident reflects the growing trend of fake accounts made in the name of celebrities on social media, creating problems not only for fans but also for the celebrities themselves.
