Senior actress of Pakistani showbiz industry Naushaba Bibi has said that she was married at the age of 12 and became a mother at the age of 14.
Pakistan Television Network (PTV) famous actress Jehan Sultana, known as Naushaba Bibi, has been very famous for playing Pashtun characters especially in old dramas.
The actress has also worked in Pashto radio, Naushaba Bibi’s association with Pashto radio and PTV spans several decades.
Naushaba Bibi belongs to Swat and has always appeared on TV with her head covered, fans appreciate her modesty and good conversation, while she has a large fan following in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Recently, Naushaba Bibi gave an exclusive interview to a digital media channel, in which she spoke openly about her early marriage. Naushaba Bibi said that I did not get any time for a job or career because I got married at the age of 12, and at the same age I also started working on television.
She said that I was playing with dolls when I got married, one day I was told that there was a wedding at home, I was just given a lipstick, and I forgot everything, because lipstick was my weakness. The actress said that I happily went among my friends and got married, at that time the children did not even know what marriage was.
She said that when all the guests left, I asked my sister-in-law to send me back home, there was an age difference of 23 years between us, he was my cousin and it was my aunt who insisted on this marriage.
Naushaba Bibi further said that I became a mother at the age of 14. I have three sons and a daughter. My father was quite strict, but my husband supported me fully in my acting career.
