A serious security failure came to light during the first ODI between India and South Africa, when a man broke through security barriers, entered the field, and hugged Virat Kohli on the pitch.
India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli scored his 52nd ODI century by playing an innings of 135 runs in the first ODI against South Africa.
As soon as he completed his century, a fan not only broke the security and entered the field but also fell straight at Kohli’s feet.
According to cricket circles, a fan suddenly entering the field during celebrations is tantamount to endangering players’ lives, while the Indian Cricket Board has so far failed to take a clear stand on this serious issue.
