Farhan Saeed reveals the reason behind rejecting violent roles

Actor and singer Farhan Saeed said that in the past, he was offered dramas in which the main character shows violence or forced love, but he always rejected such roles and now chooses only positive and good roles.

Farhan Saeed recently participated in Mehwish Ejaz’s YouTube podcast, where he openly discussed his career, choice of roles and current trends in the drama industry.

The actor said that in the past, he was offered dramas in which the main hero shows violence or forced love, but he would immediately reject such roles.

According to him, for this reason, he is no longer offered such dramas, but rather he is offered mostly positive and good hero roles, which he prefers.

The actor also said that people’s view that dramas are made to educate or train is wrong, because according to him, the main purpose of drama is entertainment.

He said that viewers should also consider dramas as entertainment, and if someone doesn’t like a drama, they should watch another drama, because there is no compulsion to watch.

However, he admitted that in reality this is not the case, because people learn a lot from dramas and social attitudes also change due to them, which is why he thinks it is very important to show responsibility while making dramas.

During the conversation, he also gave the example of a recent drama, in which the hero puts his neck on the heroine’s head.

He said that although this can be shown, this character should also be punished later, and not like an old drama where the heroine immediately fell in love with the hero for a good deed.

Farhan Saeed further said that during a scene in the drama serial Mere Hamsafar, he had to slap his wife, but he refused to do so. There was a lot of discussion on the set about this issue, but ultimately he succeeded in his stance.

He said that now that he is recognized, he clearly says that he should not be offered roles involving husband abuse or violence.
