Farhan Saeed said he was almost attacked in India after singing Dil Dil Pakistan

Singer and actor Farhan Saeed shared that he once narrowly escaped an attack during a concert in India after singing Dil Dil Pakistan, Jaan Jaan Hindustan.

He recently appeared on the show Hansna Mana Hai where he talked openly about his career and experiences. During the show he recalled a concert incident from his visit to India. He said this happened when his band went to India during the Aman Ki Asha program and their shows were very successful.

Farhan said their first concert was in New Delhi where he sang popular songs including Aadat. During one song he also sang Dil Dil Pakistan but changed the next line to Jaan Jaan Hindustan. The crowd loved it and he decided to perform it the same way in all upcoming concerts.

Their next concert was in Kolkata at a cricket ground packed with people. He again sang Dil Dil Pakistan, Jaan Jaan Hindustan. But before he could finish the song the organizers came to him and told him to quickly leave after the performance.

He said the organizers looked worried but did not explain anything. As soon as the concert ended they rushed him and his band into a car and drove away fast. Farhan said they were confused and kept asking what had happened but no one told them.

When they reached the hotel the organizers told them that hundreds of people had misunderstood the lyrics and thought he had sung Dil Dil Pakistan, Ja Ja Hindustan which means “Go away India.” Because of this 300 to 400 men were ready to attack them.

Farhan said he explained that he did not say Ja Ja Hindustan but Jaan Jaan Hindustan which means “Beloved India” yet the crowd did not understand it correctly.
