Farooq Rind admits Ishq Murshid had extra episodes

The director of the popular drama Ishq Murshid Farooq Rind has admitted that the drama was originally planned for 26 episodes but was extended to 30 on the producer’s request.

Ishq Murshid aired on Hum TV from October 2023 to May 2024 and became very popular. Its song Tera Mera Pyar Hai Amar was a big hit on social media.

Actor Ali Gul Mallah’s role with the famous dialogue Bhale was loved by viewers while the main pair Durefishan Saleem and Bilal Abbas also received great praise.

The story was written by Abdul Khaliq Khan produced by Momal Productions and directed by Farooq Rind.

Speaking to News 365 Farooq Rind said that producer Momal asked him to increase the number of episodes because she had an agreement to air 30 episodes.

He explained that the writer had only written material for 26 episodes and when he contacted him the writer replied that he had already done his part and the rest should be managed by the director.

Farooq Rind said that although directors add their own touch the main work is always done by the writer.

He admitted that the extra episodes made the drama a bit boring near the end.

He gave the main credit for the drama’s success to Bilal Abbas and also praised Durefishan Saleem Ali Gul Mallah and the rest of the cast.

And he added that the freedom given by the producer also helped make the drama better.
