Bollywood star Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja revealed in a podcast that her husband’s family priest takes 2 lakh rupees to perform rituals at their home.
She said she often tells Govinda to pray himself because his own prayers will be accepted.
Sunita added that she believes no one can pray for you better than yourself, and when you pray sincerely, it gets accepted.
She also said that whenever she donates or does a good deed, she prefers to do it with her own hands.
However, Govinda did not like her comments. In a video message, he called her remarks disrespectful.
He said that their priest is a family priest and even his father used to serve their family. He expressed sadness over Sunita’s statement and strongly disagreed with it.
Govinda also apologized to his fans, saying he was sorry if anyone was hurt by this matter.
It is worth noting that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s 38-year-long marriage has often faced rumors and misunderstandings. There were even times when news about their possible divorce came out, and once Sunita reportedly approached the court for it.
