Renowned Bollywood actor and businessman Vivek Oberoi has revealed that he became financially independent at the age of 15 and by the age of 16, he had earned his first Rs 1 crore through the stock market through his hard work.
In an interview, Vivek said that his family had a lot of property before partition, but after losing everything, he had to make a living on his own, and this experience taught him the importance of earning money.
Vivek started his first business at the age of 19, from which he managed to raise Rs 12 crore, although his own investment was only Rs 20–25 lakh. Today, he is running successful businesses in various sectors including fintech, edtech, live diamonds, road assistance services and infra consultancy.
Along with films, he works about 16 hours a day and also devotes his free time to business. After moving to Dubai, he realized the role of overseas Indians in the country’s development. According to him, NRIs send $136 billion to India every year.
On his alleged assets of Rs 1200 crore, Vivek says that actual wealth is not important, a house and a favorite car are enough, God has given so much that the coming generations will also be supported.
