They say that in love, a person is ready to cross all limits. Even a luxurious life seems small in front of true love. Something similar happened with Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff when he married film producer and former model Ayesha.
Before this marriage, Jackie Shroff was often linked with Madhuri Dixit, also known as the Dhak Dhak girl. But all the rumors ended when Madhuri married Dr. Shriram Nene. After that, Jackie chose Ayesha as his life partner.
This marriage is special because Ayesha gave up all her luxuries to be with Jackie. She even faced tough days of poverty but never left his side.
In a recent interview, Jackie Shroff talked about his difficult days when he used to live in a small flat in Mumbai. It is well known that Jackie spent a big part of his life in a small home, and even after becoming a star, he stayed there.
Jackie’s life took a special turn when he met Ayesha. She was only 14 at that time. Even though she was living a comfortable and rich life, she fell in love with Jackie and left everything to live with him in a one-room flat.
Talking about their love story, Jackie said that he first saw Ayesha in a bus. She was standing, holding the handle, and he thought in his heart that this girl would be his wife one day. That moment was the beginning of their love story.
After that, Jackie and Ayesha became friends and started spending time together. They even went to auditions together. There was a time when Ayesha got the lead role in the movie Teri Baahon Mein, but Jackie was rejected.
Time passed, and their love turned into marriage. But life after marriage was not easy. Jackie lived in a one-room flat. Talking about those days, he said that their household expenses were only 30 rupees, and he lived in that small home for 33 years.
He also shared that no one had any expectations from him. Ayesha stayed with him in that one-room home and used to wait in line for the bathroom.
Talking about his wife’s background, Jackie said Ayesha belonged to a respected family. She is the daughter of Air Vice Marshal Ranjan Dutt, who had received the Vir Chakra, a big military award. Ayesha fully supported Jackie during his struggle. She even sold her own house to buy a new home for him.
When asked if Ayesha’s father had any objection to their marriage, Jackie replied that he did not. He said maybe her father saw his good intentions and believed in him. Jackie added that he may not have been the perfect young man at that time, but he never broke the trust Ayesha’s father had in him.
