Her death has become a mystery. Even though she was a known face in the entertainment world and had living parents, brothers, and sisters, no one noticed her disappearance for a whole month.
Humaira started her career as a model in 2013 and later appeared in TV dramas like Laali, Be Naam, Chal Dil Mere, Ehsaas Faramosh, Guru, and Sirat-e-Mustaqeem.
Her appearance as a contestant in the Pakistani reality show Tamasha brought her the most fame.
After her body was found, it was sent to Jinnah Hospital for a post-mortem. The surgeon reported that the body was badly decomposed, but chemical samples were taken, and the cause of death has been preserved for investigation.
While the reason behind Humaira Asghar’s death is still unknown, a new controversy has now started involving her family.
Earlier, police had revealed that Humaira’s family had contacted them, but no one had arrived in Karachi to claim her body. Because of this, the body was moved to the morgue.
Now, there is a new development. Humaira Asghar’s father has officially refused to receive his daughter’s body.
SSP South, Mahzoor Ali, said that Humaira’s father came to Karachi but refused to take her body. He told the police that he had cut ties with Humaira two years ago and had not spoken to her since.
According to SSP South, Humaira’s father was angry when he heard about her and said that they had nothing to do with her anymore. He also said the police could do whatever they want with the body, but he would not be taking it.
