Famous actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her apartment in the posh Defence area of Karachi today (Tuesday, 8 July). Her body was discovered after several days.
According to reports, Humaira was originally from Lahore and had been living alone in this flat for the past 7 years. She started her TV career in 2000 from Karachi and appeared in supporting roles in many dramas, including Ehsaas Faramosh and Guru.
In one interview, she said that she had performed in more than 40 theatre plays and was also active in modeling. Along with this, she regularly took part in charity work.
However, she became more well-known after appearing in a reality show called Tamasha, where her fights and statements became quite popular.
For the past few months, Humaira had not paid the rent for her apartment. Because of this, the landlord had taken legal action against her. When a bailiff arrived at her flat with court orders, he noticed a strong smell. When the door was broken open with the help of police, they found Humaira’s body, which was several days old.
Police said the body was not recognizable. They are trying to find her family using her mobile number and NADRA records linked to her ID card.
Interestingly, when you look at her Instagram account, her last post was made on 30 September 2024.
Before this, the actress was very active on her social media accounts and used to post pictures almost every day. But for the past 9 months, she had completely disappeared from social media.
If you look at her Instagram account, you will see that most of her posts were related to modeling, workouts, traveling, drama clips, and a few interview clips.
However, among all her posts, there is one that shows a glimpse of her personal life.
She posted it last year on 12 May on the occasion of Mother’s Day, where she is seen with her mother and a young girl.
In the same post, she also shared some old black and white pictures of her father. This gave the impression that either she was no longer in contact with him or he had passed away.
However, there is no information in the post about the little girl seen in the picture.
After seeing Humaira’s photo with her mother, many social media users were surprised. They questioned that if her family was around, why did they not check on her after not hearing from her for many days, or why did they not inform the police?
