Indian actress Taapsee Pannu has exposed the scary reality of Bollywood. In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu spoke openly about the behind-the-scenes system of the film industry and expressed concern over the growing role of public relations (PR).
The 38-year-old actress said in the interview that in the last few years, she deliberately reduced her work, after which she got the opportunity to understand how PR is being used in the industry.
According to Taapsee, in the past, the purpose of PR was mostly to highlight her film or work, but now the situation has changed.
She said that nowadays some people are not only spending money on highlighting themselves, but also negative campaigns are being run to demean others. Taapsee questioned why someone’s success is being linked to someone else’s loss.
The actress also said that many artists are creating an artificial image just to stay in the news, while they fail to do so thanks to their work.
Taapsee clarified that she prefers to spend her earnings on herself and her loved ones, and not on negative PR articles.
It should be noted that Taapsee Pannu was recently seen in Mudassar Aziz’s film ‘Khel Khel Mein’, while she will next be seen in the revenge drama film ‘Gandhari’ directed by Devashish Mukherjee.
