Shanta Kumari, the mother of renowned Indian film star and Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Mohanlal, has met her true creator at the age of 90.
According to Indian media, at the time of her death, Mohanlal’s mother was living at her home in Cochin, Kerala, and had been suffering from various ailments for a long time.
The news of her death has saddened not only Mohanlal’s fans but also the entire Malayalam film industry. Mohanlal had been taking care of his ailing mother for 10 years.
After hearing this sad news, another big superstar of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty, reached Mohanlal’s house to offer his condolences.
Apart from this, a series of condolence messages have been received from several personalities from South and Bollywood, which is proof that Mohanlal is not only a great actor but also a respected person in the film community.
At the time of his mother’s death, Mohanlal was busy shooting for a film. According to close sources, he immediately left for Cochin as soon as he received the news.

It should be remembered that Mohanlal is one of the few artists in Indian cinema who has given a new dimension to acting in a career spanning four decades.
He has acted in more than 400 films. Along with Malayalam, he has also proved his talent in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films.
