Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan’s ex-wife and director Kiran Rao is undergoing treatment in the hospital, where she has released her pictures after her appendix surgery.
On the photo and video sharing app ‘Instagram’, Kiran Rao shared a post from the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai in which she provided fans with updates on her health and also shared pictures.
In her post, Kiran Rao shared a short video of the hospital as well as a few pictures in which she shared the band (on which the patient’s name is written) worn by the hospital to the patient, and also shared a selfie of herself.
Surprisingly, in one of the pictures, Aamir Khan’s name is still associated with Kiran Rao’s name, and she has written her full name, ‘Kiran Aamir Rao Khan,’ in the hospital, which has raised questions in the minds of users whether she has not been divorced yet or there is some other matter.
Kiran Rao, 52, wrote in her post that she was busy preparing for the 2026 party but had to be admitted to the hospital due to appendicitis, and all those preparations remained incomplete.
She thanked the team of doctors who performed the surgery, the hospital staff, her friends and family, and wrote, “Some visitors came to make fun of her lips, which were swollen due to allergies but are now better.”
The Bollywood director confirmed in her post that she has been discharged from the hospital and is now back home.
It should be noted that Kiran Rao started her career by assisting in the film ‘Lagaan’ and later directed ‘Dhoobi Ghat’ and her recently released film ‘Lapta Ladies’ not only won several awards in India but the film was also selected by India for the Oscars in 2024.
Aamir Khan and director Kiran Rao announced their divorce in a joint statement on July 3, 2021, after 16 years, saying that the decision was mutual, after which they would jointly raise their son Azad Rao Khan.
