It has been nine years since the famous Naat Khawan and former pop singer Junaid Jamshed passed away. Born on September 3, 1964 in Karachi, Junaid Jamshed studied engineering but gained immense fame as soon as he entered the field of music.
His very first album took him to great heights, while his popular song Dil Dil Pakistan became his identity across the country.
At the peak of his fame, in 2004, he said goodbye to music and dedicated himself to serving and preaching religion. In 2005, he released his first Naat album, which was very popular. In 2014, the Government of Pakistan awarded him the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in recognition of his services.
Along with his religious orientation, Junaid Jamshed also entered the business field and introduced a clothing brand named “J.J” which quickly became one of the successful brands in Pakistan.
Junaid Jamshed died in a tragic plane crash near Havelian on December 7, 2016, but his voice, personality, and message still live on in the hearts of his fans.
