India’s renowned screenwriter and poet Javed Akhtar has reacted strongly to a video of himself created using artificial intelligence (AI) and is considering legal action.

A video of Javed Akhtar has surfaced after his recent debate on the ‘existence of God’ on live TV, in which religious scholar and founder of the Waheen Foundation, Mufti Shamail Nadvi, and writer Javed Akhtar engaged in a face-to-face discussion.

However, Javed Akhtar was severely criticized during this debate because he could not give a satisfactory answer to any question nor could he present any clear argument in this debate.
It should be remembered that Javed Akhtar has said many times on various platforms that he does not believe in God or any religion.
In his post on the social networking website ‘X’, Javed Akhtar was severely criticized for the video made by ‘AI’ in which he claimed that he had ‘turned towards God’.

The video circulating on social media shows a computer-generated image of 80-year-old Javed Akhtar wearing a cap, holding a prayer bead and a red handkerchief on his shoulder.
In his post, Javed Akhtar said that a fake video is circulating in which a computer-generated image of me is shown, wearing a cap and claiming that I have finally turned towards God. This is complete nonsense.
He added that he is seriously considering reporting the matter to the police and taking the person responsible for this fake news and those spreading it to court for damaging my reputation and credibility.
