Jawad Ahmed, a famous Pakistani singer of the nineties and current politician, is in the news these days due to his controversial statements.
After retiring from music, Jawad Ahmed is often seen speaking critically about political figures, showbiz stars and his contemporaries, for which he faces a lot of criticism.
Recently, in a news show, he called famous singers ‘greedy’.
Jawad Ahmed said that he said goodbye to music due to his political affiliation and now he does not earn any income from singing, because according to him, there should be no financial greed in this field.
He claimed that during his time, artists were available to the public everywhere and their cassette records were sold out, even in India, people were surprised by their success. According to Jawad Ahmed, he used to sing songs in villages without being paid and the only condition was that the songs should be educational.
He criticized the current singers, saying that nowadays most artists have limited themselves to weddings and corporate events and have distanced themselves from the general fans.
He believes that this attitude is harmful to both the art and the artist, because the public who gave them fame is no longer their priority.
