Jemima accuses Elon Musk of restricting access to posts related to Imran Khan

Jemima Goldsmith, the ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and chairman Imran Khan, has demanded that social media platform X owner Elon Musk immediately end the alleged restriction on access to posts related to the jailed Imran Khan.

According to the British news agency “The Telegraph”, Jemima Goldsmith said that she believes, based on strong evidence, that X’s algorithm is deliberately reaching fewer people with posts related to Imran Khan’s health, imprisonment and meeting his children.

In a message shared on Instagram and X, she said that she received this information through an artificial intelligence-based chatbot called Grok, which was developed by Elon Musk’s company.

According to Jemima, Grok said that when she posts about Imran Khan’s condition, the platform’s access suddenly decreases. Moreover, Pakistani authorities are keeping a close eye on the online activities of Imran Khan’s inner circle, while X is allegedly quietly cooperating so that its service in Pakistan is not affected.

Jemima Goldsmith said that Imran Khan is a political prisoner and his name and image are banned from TV and radio channels in Pakistan, leaving X as the only platform where he could highlight the situation.

She cited Elon Musk’s claims about freedom of expression and said that suppressing political opinions contradicts these declarations. According to Jemima, the information provided by Grok shows that the reach of his posts has decreased by 97% in 2025.

According to the data, his posts used to reach 400 to 900 million people per month in 2023 and early 2024, however, this number has decreased to about 28.6 million this year.

Jemima said that after the ban on X was lifted in Pakistan in May, one post received 4 million views, but soon after that, the reach of her posts almost disappeared.
