Dr Arooba Tariq is a well-known Pakistani presenter who has starred in various political comedy shows, including the most renowned, Khabarnaak. She rose to prominence as the co-host of Geo News’ Khabarnaak show. She is presently a co-host for Khabarhar and Gupshup With Aftab Iqbal. Dr. Arooba is an MBBS doctor with experience working at prominent Pakistani hospitals. Dr. Arooba currently resides in Dubai as a result of her program Khabarhar.
Dr Arooba was recently featured on Hafiz Ahmed’s program. In the podcast, she claimed that she was given Geo TV’s blockbuster drama but turned it down.
When asked about receiving proposals from Geo TV, she stated, “People in the media always remember you by your face, especially if you have previously appeared in TV shows.” Geo TV immediately offered me a large drama role as the main star. The drama had a large filmy cast, and they really wanted me to do it. They boosted me up and asked me to the studio to check out the sets and recording procedures before I decided to do it. Actually, my father refused to let me participate in the theater. He responded, “You can do the hosting but not the dramas.” I still considered visiting Shahnoor’s workshop.
After visiting the studio, I understood that I could not perform because of the powerful sequences in which the hero holds your hand. I rejected it since I knew as a newbie, I would have little influence in editing such stark sequences.”
