Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar responded to criticism of Main Manto Nahin Hoon

Famous writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar gave a strong reply to people who criticized his drama Main Manto Nahin Hoon for showing a romantic relationship between a teacher and a student. He said that in real life many female teachers have married their students.

He recently appeared in a podcast and talked about many topics. During the show he also spoke harshly against people who attacked his drama. He said there is a difference between criticism and barking. According to him real criticism is good because it helps improve work but people are not doing that.

He explained that his story shows love between an unmarried teacher and a student and love is not a sin. They are not married so they are non mahram and they can get married. He said even people aged seventy get married now so why is his drama being criticized.

He also said that he did not show an affair between his characters because both are unmarried. If one of them was married then it would be an affair and that would be wrong. He insisted that a teacher and a student can marry because they are non mahram and age does not matter.

He claimed that many teachers and students have married in real life and there is nothing wrong in that. He said many female teachers also married their students and such marriages are halal so criticizing them is unfair.

During the program he also used strong words for people who attack his drama and he criticized girls who play with men’s emotions. He complained that no one protests against such girls but people always blame men.

The drama Main Manto Nahin Hoon is airing on ARY Digital. Actor Humayun Saeed plays the teacher and actress Sajal Aly plays the student. Their romantic story has caused controversy and the drama team is facing criticism. However Khalil ur Rehman Qamar continues to defend his work.
