Actress, host, producer, and social worker Maryam Nafees has openly talked about the hypocrisy in the showbiz industry.
She is known for speaking the truth without fear and is one of the few artists who openly share their honest opinions.
In Geo TV’s show Hansna Mana Hai, when asked what she would like to change in the showbiz world, Maryam quickly said hypocrisy.
She explained that people in the industry show one face in front of you and behave differently behind your back. They act nice when they meet you but later talk badly about you.
The host Tabish Hashmi agreed and said that he has also seen this himself and believes that backbiting is a big problem in showbiz.
Maryam said that honesty and sincerity are disappearing, and most relationships in the industry are fake and just for show.
She also shared that she only keeps in touch with a few close friends like Osman Khalid Butt, Ahmed Ali Akbar, and Azam Khan because she trusts them.
