Pakistani batsman Mehreen Ali sets world record in blind women’s cricket

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 221 runs in the Blind Women’s Cricket World Cup. In the first match of the event that started in Colombo, the Pakistan Blind Women’s team scored 331 runs without any loss against Sri Lanka.

Pakistani batsman Mehreen Ali set a world record by scoring 230 runs off 78 balls against Sri Lanka in blind women’s cricket.

In reply, the Sri Lankan women’s team was bundled out for 120 runs, with Pakistan’s Noor Fatima, Huriya Malik, and Sameera Malik taking one wicket each.

On this occasion, Mehreen Ali said that she thanked Allah Almighty for setting the record, and she dedicates this record to Pakistan and her parents.

Mehreen Ali further said that she also thanked the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council and her parents for giving her the opportunity.
