Protein has been shown to improve digestion and prevent weight gain

A short but unique study has shown that eating protein-rich foods can not only improve the health of the digestive system, especially the intestines and stomach, but also does not cause weight gain.

According to the study published on the medical website, experts recently presented the results of a study to find out the effects of protein-rich foods during a conference.

The experts said that they conducted limited research to examine the effects of protein-rich foods on human health, especially the health of the digestive system, namely the stomach, intestines, liver and esophagus, including weight.

The experts conducted a study on 16 mice for four weeks and gave them different diets during the study, and examined their digestive system health, including their weight and muscle size and health.

In addition to giving the mice protein-rich foods, the experts also gave them mixed foods with other ingredients, and after all the diets, blood and feces tests were performed on the mice, while their body and muscle sizes were also examined through machines.

Experts found that pure protein diets improved the digestive system of mice, while their weight did not increase, but rather their weight decreased, and their muscles also appeared more active.

According to experts, protein-containing diets improved the health of the gut microbiota, meaning the health of the digestive organs of the mice, the stomach, intestines, esophagus, and other organs, improved, due to which their weight did not increase, while the muscles also started working better.

Although experts considered protein-containing diets to be better for the digestive system, they also said that research should be conducted on the above issue, because in the past, excess protein has also been blamed for digestive system problems.
