Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala’s names remain on the travel ban list

No progress was made in the Islamabad High Court on the petitions to remove the names of TikToker and YouTuber Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala from the travel ban list, the court adjourned the hearing till March 26.

The Islamabad High Court heard the petitions to remove the names of TikToker and YouTuber Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala from the travel ban list.

Justice Azam Khan heard the petitions of both, the petitioners and Barristers Raja Qadeer Janjua and Ahad Khokhar appeared in the court.

During the hearing, the government could not submit a response and a request for time was made. Lawyer Qadeer Janjua told the court that the visas were expiring due to the travel ban, to which the learned judge asked when the visas were expiring?

The petitioner’s lawyer said that one would expire in March and the other would expire later.

The court asked the public prosecutor why their visas were expiring, to which the public prosecutor requested that the date be given after Eid, and the answer would be submitted.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan remarked that the issue of visa expiry was an issue, and that the hearing would be held immediately after Eid. The court adjourned the hearing till March 26.
