Renowned Bollywood actress Rashmika Mandanna has expressed her concern over the misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and demanded that those who misuse AI should be punished.
According to ‘The Hindu’, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her concern over the creation of deepfakes and inappropriate videos and pictures of actresses through AI in an X post and demanded legal action against those involved.
She specifically condemned the creation of videos and deepfakes that target women. She wrote on X that AI is a force for progress, but using it to create pornographic content and target women is a sign of deep moral decay in some people. Remember, the internet is no longer a mirror of truth.
She wrote that we should rise above misuse and use AI to build a respectable and developed society.
Rashmika Mandanna wrote that if people do not behave like human beings, they should be punished severely and unforgivably.
The actress also tagged the official handle of the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre in her post.
It should be noted that in November 2023, an edited deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral, in which the torso of another woman was inserted and the woman was shown in a very bold outfit in the video.
