Pakistan’s famous actress Saba Qamar Zaman has reacted to the ongoing controversy through Instagram Stories after a case was filed against her.
A case has been filed against Pakistan’s famous actress Saba Qamar Zaman in the Lahore Sessions Court. The petition alleges that the actress wore a police uniform and used the badge of the rank of SP without official permission.
The controversy started with a viral video in which Saba Qamar can be seen wearing a police officer’s uniform in a dressing room. The video sparked a debate after it went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, a magazine editor-in-chief Raheel Rao made a sarcastic post defending the actress, writing, “Do you expect a police officer to be played in a bridal pair or a lawn suit? Characters dress according to the role, not according to your stupid thinking.”
Saba Qamar reshared the post and responded in a humorous way, “Oh my God! I have become so famous these days.” She also added smiley emojis with her message.
The petition has been filed by citizen Waseem Zawar through his lawyer Aftab Bajwa. The petition states that according to the law, no one can use a police uniform or rank badge without official permission. The court has sought a report from the old Anarkali police and adjourned the hearing till January.
