Actress Saba Qamar has sent a legal notice of 10 crore rupees in damages to a well-known journalist for making false and disrespectful claims against her.
The issue began when journalist Naeem Hanif claimed in a podcast that Saba Qamar once lived in a house in Lahore’s Walton area, which was allegedly provided by a man.
Saba Qamar strongly denied the claim and shared a screenshot of the podcast on her Instagram, calling the accusation completely false. She said she never lived in Walton and that there is no truth in the statements made against her. The actress also said that defaming someone’s character is a serious crime.
Later, she, through her lawyers, sent a legal notice to the journalist and the YouTube channel involved. The notice demanded a public apology and removal of the false content within seven days, otherwise legal action would be taken.
She also urged her fans and the showbiz community to speak up against false accusations and stand for their self-respect.
