Saeed Ajmal’s Magic Spell: 6 Wickets Crush Australia in WCL

Veteran spinner Saeed Ajmal turned back the clock with a stunning performance in the World Championship of Legends (WCL), grabbing 6 wickets for just 16 runs against Australia Champions — the best bowling spell in WCL history!

The match, played at Grace Road, saw Ajmal completely tear through the Aussie batting order. His 6-wicket haul is not only the first-ever five-for in WCL, but it also beats the previous best of 4/11 by West Indies’ Fidel Edwards.

Ajmal started his fiery spell by dismissing Australia’s top-scorer Ben Dunk (26 off 14) in the 6th over — and didn’t stop there. He picked up two more wickets in the same over, then struck again in his next, removing Ben Cutting. The veteran saved the best for last, wrapping up the Aussie innings by taking out Peter Siddle and Steve O’Keefe in his final over.

Australia Champions were all out for just 74 runs.

In reply, Pakistan Champions chased down the small target like it was nothing. Openers Sharjeel Khan (32)* and Sohaib Maqsood (28)* stayed unbeaten and reached the total in only 7.3 overs, sealing a massive 10-wicket victory.

It was a statement win for Pakistan — and a reminder that Saeed Ajmal still has plenty of magic in his fingers.
