Pakistani TV industry’s leading actress Sahar Khan has called it a vile trend to humiliate and embarrass guests by blocking them on podcasts.
In her Instagram story, Sahar Khan has strongly criticized the growing number of podcasts and shows in recent days that embarrass people, especially women, in the name of content.
Sahar Khan wrote that many podcasts have become really disturbing these days where guests are invited only to embarrass them or ask questions that make them helpless.
Sahar Khan said that she had seen a podcast in which the host showed a woman her own videos and asked her whether she herself thought it was right or wrong. She raised the question that who are these people to decide what is right or wrong for someone?
She further said that no one has the right to dictate the way of life of others. Life is given by Allah and man is responsible for himself. The matter of right and wrong is between the servant and God.
The actress warned people to avoid going to such programs where the only purpose is disrespect, it is sad that this person repeatedly invites guests just to humiliate them. She addressed the host without naming him and said, “Live your life and stop hurting others.”
Although Sahar Khan did not name anyone, her statement has come at a time when the derogatory attitude towards TikTok star Warda Malik in Rehan Tariq’s podcast is being discussed on social media.
In the show, the host played Warda Malik’s own videos in which she was dancing or having fun in the pool and repeatedly asked her if it was permissible.
The panel consisting of men also continued to ask Warda Malik similar questions, to which Warda looked clearly unhappy and uncomfortable and kept explaining that she loves dancing, music and posting content of her own choice.
It should be noted that in the past, well-known YouTuber Nader Ali has also faced severe criticism for controversial and anti-women questions in his podcast.
