Salman Khan accused of misleading youth

Bollywood star Salman Khan is facing another legal issue as the Kota Consumer Court in Rajasthan has sent him a notice

According to Indian media reports Salman Khan is accused of promoting spicy products made by Rajshree Company In the advertisement he is seen saying that every grain of the spice contains saffron

Because of this advertisement Salman Khan has become part of a controversy

The petitioner said that Salman Khan is a role model for many people and that is why a case was filed in the Kota Consumer Court which has now sent a notice

It was also mentioned that in other countries celebrities do not even promote soft drinks but in India big film stars advertise tobacco and pan masala The petitioner said such ads send the wrong message to the youth

He added that pan masala is one of the main causes of oral cancer

BJP leader and Rajasthan High Court lawyer Indermohan Singh Huni said that the company’s claim cannot be true because one kilogram of saffron costs around four lakh rupees while pan masala is sold for only five rupees which means people are being misled

The Kota Consumer Court has asked both parties to respond and the next hearing is set for November 27
