An old video of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is once again going viral on social media. In the video, he talks about an emotional moment related to his father, actor Sunil Dutt, and his connection with Pakistan.
Sanjay Dutt shared that one night when he came home late, he saw his father sitting alone in his room with tears in his eyes. At first, Sanjay thought he was missing his mother, but later he found out that his father was remembering his real home in Pakistan.
He said his father told him that he could not sleep because he was missing his home, his Pakistan. Sanjay was surprised and tried to explain that his home was now in India, but his father replied in Punjabi that Pakistan is my home, I am missing my home.
Sanjay Dutt also added that what happened during the partition was very painful for people on both sides.
It is worth mentioning that Sunil Dutt’s family originally belonged to Rawalpindi, and they moved to India after the partition. Sunil Dutt was a Hindu Punjabi, while his wife, actress Nargis Dutt, was a Bengali Muslim from Kolkata.
