The Indian Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, which faced a ban in India, has made history internationally. According to foreign media reports, the film starring Indian Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh and famous Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has achieved great success worldwide, even though it was not released in India.
In just 15 days, the film earned over 51 crore rupees overseas, making it the second highest-grossing Punjabi film outside India.
On Friday alone, the superhit film starring Hania Aamir made 175,000 US dollars, bringing its total overseas earnings to 6 million dollars.
Diljit Dosanjh’s Jatt and Juliet 3 was the first Punjabi film to cross the 51 crore mark overseas. Now Sardaar Ji 3 has become the second film to reach this milestone.
In doing so, Sardaar Ji 3 also left behind Carry On Jatta 3, which had earned 46 crore rupees.
