Fans and social media users have accused Salman Khan of being biased in Bigg Boss Season 19. The controversy started after a fight between contestant and singer Amaal Mallik and actress Farhana Bhatt, who is from Indian-occupied Kashmir.
According to the Indian website Mint, many people criticized Salman Khan for giving only a final warning to Amaal Mallik for using rude words against Farhana Bhatt during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Viewers expressed anger at the Bigg Boss team as well.
Social media users started hashtags like Boycott Amaal Mallik and Remove Amaal Mallik, saying Salman Khan’s warning was not enough. They accused him and the show’s management of trying to protect the singer’s image.
During the episode, Salman Khan invited Amaal’s father, music composer Daboo Malik, who asked his son not to use bad language. Amaal Mallik was seen crying during the conversation. However, many viewers said they were not satisfied with how Salman and the show handled the issue.
Some users said Salman Khan and the show should be ashamed for giving a clean chit to a rude person like Amaal Mallik and even bringing his father to support him.
One user wrote that everyone saw what Amaal did, and there is video proof of it. They said the effort to protect him was not enough and repeated the call to boycott Amaal Mallik.
Another user called Amaal a spoiled industry kid full of arrogance. People also said that Salman Khan and the Bigg Boss team were still giving him special treatment.
They reminded Salman that in past seasons, contestants who used bad language were punished or removed, but Amaal Mallik was treated differently.
Fans expressed disappointment, saying that it is sad to see how things have changed. They also said that people like Amaal Mallik and hosts like Salman Khan should not be allowed to get away with such behavior.
Many criticized Salman directly, saying they couldn’t believe his open bias and favoritism.
Reports say that Amaal Mallik and Farhana Bhatt had several arguments in the show, but things got worse during a captaincy task when Farhana tore Neelam Giri’s letter. Amaal then snatched food from Farhana’s hand and broke a plate.
He even used offensive language toward Farhana and her family, which other contestants condemned.
Unlike his usual strict reactions in past seasons, Salman Khan did not respond harshly this time. Instead, he tried to calm the situation and told Amaal that he had no right to snatch someone’s plate.
He asked Amaal if he thought his behavior was justified, to which Amaal replied that Farhana had provoked him.
