Showbiz personalities react strongly to the harassment incident with Shahzeb Khanzada

Pakistani showbiz personalities have strongly condemned the harassment incident in London with renowned TV anchor and journalist Shahzeb Khanzada.

The video of the harassment incident with Shahzeb Khanzada went viral on social media, in which an unknown person was harassing him along with his wife in a shopping mall.

The unknown person followed Shahzeb Khanzada and accused him of spreading propaganda against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

It can be seen in the video that Shahzeb Khanzada was present with his wife in a shopping mall when a person misbehaved with him. Shahzeb Khanzada thought it better to leave quietly without responding to any provocation.
The harasser did not provide any explanation for his allegations, but later PTI leader Shahbaz Gul shared an old video in which Shahzaib Khanzada was discussing the “Iddat case” on his program, the same case that Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Maneka had filed for not completing her iddat when she married Imran Khan.

Shahbaz Gul indirectly justified the harassment incident by calling the conversation “filth.”

It should be noted that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to seven years in prison each in the Iddat case on February 3, 2024, but were acquitted in July. They were later re-arrested in other cases related to the sale of government gifts.

After the incident, several people, including showbiz personalities, expressed solidarity with Shahzeb Khanzada. Actor Muneeb Butt called the incident a “shameful act” and said that Shahzeb Khanzada is one of the “intelligent, credible and talented journalists” of the country. It is shameful to harass someone in public places with his family like this.

Singer Jawad Ahmed also strongly condemned the incident and said that action should be taken against the harasser. According to him, it is necessary to punish those who commit such acts so that in the future no one will adopt a hostile attitude against others based on political differences.
Social media users have also expressed anger and regret over the incident with Shahzeb Khanzada, calling this behavior a result of (mob mentality).
