Sonam Bajwa, a well-known actress of the Punjabi film industry, has spoken openly about rejecting offers of Bollywood films and later regretting it.
Sonam Bajwa revealed in an interview that she rejected offers of many Bollywood films only because they included kissing scenes.
According to Sonam, she was afraid of how the audience of Punjab, and especially her family, would view such scenes.
Sonam Bajwa said that at that time she thought that families in Punjab watch films together, so she was afraid of being a part of any controversial scene.
The actress admitted that due to this fear, she missed some big opportunities without thinking, which she later regretted.
Sonam Bajwa revealed that when she spoke to her parents about it after rejecting the film offers, their reaction was the opposite of what she expected.
According to the actress, her parents assured her of their full support and said that if the film required it, there was no problem in filming such scenes.
Sonam expressed her sadness that she wished she had told her family about it earlier.
It should be noted that Sonam Bajwa is still considered one of the leading actresses of Punjabi cinema.
