Stranger Things Season 5 has proven to be Netflix’s hottest release of the year so far, racking up 59.6 million views in just 5 days, setting a new record.
According to a global news agency, Stranger Things Season 5 set the record for the biggest opening of any English-language series upon its release.
This feat also makes the series the third-biggest opening in Netflix history. Seasons 2 and 3 of Korean superhit Squid Game are still in the top two spots.
Its (Season 5) opening was 171 percent higher than the previous season 4, which is not difficult to gauge the excitement, anticipation, and madness of the fans.
Even before its release, the fever of this season had risen to such an extent that for the first time, 5 seasons of a single show were included in Netflix’s top 10 list at the same time.
The first four episodes of Season 5 have been released, with three more to come on Christmas Day and the series finale on New Year’s Day.
Kevin Hart’s special Acting My Age also reached No. 2 on Netflix’s top list this week with 9.2 million views.
Similarly, in the movies, Jingle Bell Heist left everyone behind with 19.3 million views.
